Posting Address Hubbell Power Systems Switching and Fusing 8100 Churchille Avenue Leeds, AL  35094 Position Overview The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is a senior level engineering position with a heavy focus on capital project justification, project management and implementation of lean manufacturing tools. This position supports three manufacturing locations, with one being in Mexico and the other in China.  The expectation of this position is to take a lead role in the department and make an immediate positive impact.  Processes will include, but not be limited to, the following areas:  Steel and aluminum fabrication, welding, CNC machining, rubber molding and assembly.  This position also supports New Product Design. Duties and Responsibilities Lead capital projects as the main point of contact for multiple functional areas and locations.  Responsibilities include machine selection, cell layout, financial justification, working with quality and product engineering to create and update control plans and engineering requirements, overall timeline management, installation of equipment and production startup. Compile project updatereports and present to upper management concerning project timeline, budget and estimated completion dates of projects Must be able to demonstrate success in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects to completion simultaneously Through the use of lean engineering tools, design and optimize manufacturing processes for the improvement of existing products and the introduction of new ones Assist in developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives through continuous improvement (kaizen) events Lead troubleshooting activities for various process issues that arise Responsible for supporting manufacturing in the US, Mexico and China Provide guidance and mentoring to junior level engineers Skills and Experience Requirements Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing. Demonstrated experience in project management of multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated success in continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated success in justification of capital projects in excess of $1M Knowledge of quality tools. Excellent communication and documentation skills Knowledge of best in class assembly practices Knowledge of fabrication processes Knowledge of welding Must have the ability totravelup to 20%.   Preferred Member of SME, AMT, ASQ or similar Knowledge of CNC Mills/Lathes Knowledge of machining castings Knowledge of rubber molding processes Experience with SAP Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Enginerring is preferred. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
