We invite you to add to it.     HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO   Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Quarry Manager at our Cement facility based in Leeds, AL. Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager of Leeds Cement, the Quarry Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Quarry/Pit Operation.   The Quarry Manager has responsibility for directing and managing all quarry/pit operations including safety, blasting, production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities. This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally-sound production of a quality product. The Quarry Manager role is critical for overseeing all mining, maintenance (mobile and stationary), business, production, inventory, environmental, and safety aspects at the quarry/pit.   Candidates must have clearly demonstrated strong leadership characteristics, planning and scheduling skills necessary to successfully manage a 1,300,000 t/yr. quarrying operation that produces 800,000t of finished Cement product/yr. Effectively and proactively administer Lehigh Hanson's safety program ensuring compliance with MSHA rules and regulations, including but not limited to root cause analysis, develop and share best practices, train employees to identify and address potential hazards. Manage direct reports under the guidelines of Lehigh Hanson HR Policies and Procedures. Instill a culture of continuous improvement.  Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, track improvement progress and quantify financial impacts, encourage and reward behaviors that progress a culture of innovation and improvement. Experience managing a P&L is a must.  Detailed monthly financial progress updates, accuracy in budgeting cost forecasting and production by product forecasting are integral to our success. Coordination with Cement operations and quality control are critical.  Inventory accounting accuracy and quality analysis are expected on a continuous basis. Oversee the quarry mine planning and blasting, staffing, and day-to-day operations in a cost-effective manner, accurately track and record key performance indicators, troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Establish key inventoried items needed for all MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) items for the pit/plant stationary & mobile equipment, and effectively interact with governmental and regulatory agencies, customers, vendors, Lehigh Hanson management, and neighbors as required. HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR   Bachelor's degree with mining-related discipline or the equivalent in relevant work experience. A strong emphasis will be placed on individuals with knowledge, skills, and/or experience in the areas of mining/extraction, geology and chemistry.   At least 5 years of quarry management experience with prior P/L responsibility. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization and time management skills. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Solid understanding of government regulations and demonstrated ability to impact safe working practices. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
